After much searching, I finally found this announcement. I'm planning on flying a couple entries @ GSSS, then shooting over to the park to help w/rocket builds @11:30am. This is what the club is all about. Too bad these kinds of announcements aren't more visible. With the old site, when I had an important announcement, I sent a email that went TO EVERYONE so they knew about it. Anyone have an address, GPS location? ;)

Thanks for offering to help them. Personally being at work still at that time on a weeknight, I don't see how I could make it. I can't speak for anyone else. If you do expect to need any equipment or people from the club its good you are bringing it up ahead of Saturday. :)

Every month I'll b collecting parts, rockets, and building material to send to a bunch of poor kids in Astatula, Fl. These kids can't even afford "rocket kits," so every rocket they build are from paper towel tubes, etc. Every nickel they save are spent on rocket motors. I've sent a lot down there over the years but, want to do more! With KC's generous donation of almost 30 mid-powered motors, they now need Large "BT's", to make the rockets, these will go in. So if u have ANY paper towel tubes laying around, especially "large diameter" ones. Bring them to the meetings/launches and I'll send a care package to Florida. Glenn ;)
