anyone get one of the new StratoLogger CF Altimeters
I was wondering how they are? they are a lot smaller I see that, but do they work as good as the SL100's?

i ordered a couple earlier in the week and just got the shipping notice. So though I have yet to use one, I will soon. They are supposed to be just as good as the original, just in a smaller size. :)

One other thing. If you do order one, make sure to order the mounting hardware and battery clip ,if you need it. They arent included with the altimeter anymore but are available separately.

I'm assuming DT4U from the SL100 will work with SLCF?

Re: DT4U

You will need to download the latest version of PerfectFlite DataCap
(1.1.2) from our website. The new version will recognize the
StratoLoggerCF and its new features, and has a number of other minor
additions and improvements. It will also recognize and work with the
older SL100 (and the Pnut).

Just got my SLCF, wow!! I can't believe how small it is!
I've been trying to figure out how to make Penelope a "DD" rocket using a deployment bag, its such a short BT. With only 13inches of room between the MMT and the shoulder of the nose cone/AV-bay. This should be perfect, now I can shorten up the bay and add another inch or so inside the BT.

Awesome Joe! Coincidentally I finally found a little time late last night to open up my package from Perfectflite and mount one of the CFs on the sled for my Madcow Screech. It is so tiny. I probably will use the 2nd one I have to set up redundant altimeters in the Reaper 3 when I get that far.

I thought I had a glut of altimeters with a few RRC2+s and a couple of the Stratologger CFs waiting to be used, but then I followed your lead and got in on that Rocketry Warehouse deal last Wednesday. Another rocket in need of electronics. LOL

I must admit that Flying Phantom was a great deal...
Very tempting...
I would have jumped on it but I've got plenty of catch up flyin to do as it is...
